The distinction between Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) and ambient power density is always explained in our reports — these are two physically different quantities, and one cannot be converted into the other.

Two quantities, not one

The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR, in W/kg) measures the energy absorbed by tissue in contact with a device. Ambient power density (in µW/m²) measures the radiation present in the air. These are two physically different quantities, with no universal conversion formula between them — a point that's often poorly explained, and one we always clarify.

Regulatory vs precautionary

ICNIRP sets binding regulatory limits. Scales such as SBM-2024 or BioInitiative offer stricter precautionary thresholds, whose scientific standing and independence vary. We always place your results against both, without conflating them.

A report that explains how to read it is worth more than one that just lists numbers.
